Who we are
The Mont Rigi Society is a Swiss Verein (association) that runs the Rigi Maison on Rigi Scheidegg as its clubhouse. Its formal basis is set out in the statutes.
Purpose
The Society promotes general education in socio-economics and finance, as well as an understanding of political systems and of scientific discourse more broadly. Alternative forms of work and living are likewise part of its purpose.
To this end, the Society runs a clubhouse on Rigi Scheidegg. It enables exchange among members and their guests and offers a platform for discussion in beautiful surroundings.
Its members stand for nature-based nutrition, culinary enjoyment and physical activity. The Society encourages time out in nature and works to strengthen the Rigi Scheidegg region.
Becoming a member
Members of the Mont Rigi Society are part of a loose intellectual network — people who take pleasure in philosophy as much as in entrepreneurial pursuits, in education and in open exchange. Commitments are kept deliberately light; at the centre are the conversation and the time spent together on Rigi Scheidegg.
Membership is in principle open, primarily in a business and partnership context. Interested? A short message is enough.
